history his a mistery INC(scooby-doo)
Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated (originally known as Scooby-Doo! Mystery, Inc.) is the eleventh incarnation of Hanna-Barbera's Scooby-Doo animated series, and the first incarnation not to be first-run on Saturday mornings. The series is produced by Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network and is a reboot[citation needed] of the franchise, although many references are made to previous incarnations such as cases from the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! and even supporting characters from The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo.
It is the first series franchise with Shaggy voiced by Matthew Lillard, who portrayed the character in two live-action films, Scooby-Doo (2002) and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004). Casey Kasem (the original Shaggy) remains present in this series by voicing Shaggy's father (Casey had also previously voiced Uncle Albert in the last series, Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue!). Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated premiered on Cartoon Network in the US on July 12, 2010 and new episodes aired every Monday at 7:00 p.m. A special sneak peek episode, which also serves as the pilot, was aired on April 5, 2010 and then also made its UK premiere on Boomerang on October 25, 2010 and also Cartoon Network on March 4, 2011. It aired in Australia on Nine Network on February 12, 2011; following the Saturday Morning Cartoons. In the UK, the CBBC channel are running all 26 episodes as one series with "Mystery Solvers Club State Finals" being aired on August 5th 2011.
As the case with the last three Scooby-Doo shows, the characters are redesigned yet again, but this time with a more stylized, retro look; the gang also wears their original outfits from the 1969 series, but Velma also has red bows in her hair. Additionally, it is much darker, more violent and more realistic than the previous Scooby-Doo shows, in a vein similar to Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island. In a difference from previous installments in the franchise, the series is presented in a serial format, with an overarching story arc connecting each episode to the next. Also, at the end of each episode there is always a different "meddling kids" parody quote, along with some light poking fun at the classic formula (though not done as much as in A Pup Named Scooby-Doo and What's New, Scooby-Doo?)
According to producer/writer Mitch Watson, the series has completed one season so far, with a total of 26 episodes already produced. New episodes were supposed to continue airing after episode thirteen, but did not air due to problems between the producers and the network over contracts. Despite the dispute, new episodes continued to air on Teletoon. A fourteenth episode, "Mystery Solvers Club State Finals", was released on iTunes and Amazon on January 31, 2011. The episode first aired on Teletoon on March 19, 2011 and the remaining twelve episodes continued to air until June 11, 2011. Then Cartoon Network began airing the remaining 13 episodes of the first season on May 3, 2011, though they dubbed it as a second season. It started with "Mystery Solvers Club State Finals" on May 3rd and continued to air the remaining episodes until July 26, 2011.
A second season is set to air on Cartoon Network in spring of 2012 with the pilot airing on March 30, 2012 on Cartoon Network Video.
